Biography
Dr. Drake was raised on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. He attended Princeton University where he majored in English Literature, concentrating on the novels of William Faulkner. He attended medical school at the University of Utah and completed surgical training at the University of Washington in Seattle, where he also earned a Master of Public Health from the UW School of Public Health. In his spare time he enjoys reading, travel, exercise, camping, and skiing.

Dr. Drake's research interests focus on improving outcomes for common surgical diseases. He has additional interests in innovations in surgical education and in improving access to surgical care in the developing world.
